Meet Dana

 A coach can be the key to a client’s success. At OptiFit, you’re coached directly by me, bringing both professional expertise and real-world experience to every client relationship. I’m fully invested in your progress and provide personalized guidance, accountability, and support every step of the way.

Dana Burke, Founder & Owner

 Dana has been an athlete her entire life, beginning with competitive figure skating before transitioning into strength training and physique development. In 2016, she discovered CrossFit and quickly developed a passion for training. However, it was not until she hired her own nutrition coach that she truly experienced the power of strategic nutrition and saw significant changes in her body composition. That experience reshaped her career path and approach to coaching.

Dana earned her CrossFit Level 1 Certificate in 2018, followed by her Sports Nutrition Certification through ISSA in 2019. She is a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM) and a NASM Certified Physique & Bodybuilding Coach, as well as a Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health from Texas A&M University (Class of 2006).

In addition to coaching, Dana is a Nationally Qualified Bikini competitor in the NPC. Competing at a national level has deepened her understanding of muscle development, fat loss phases, reverse dieting, peak conditioning, and long-term metabolic health. She brings real-world, competitive experience and evidence-based programming into her client work.

Dana specializes in helping clients improve body composition through macro-based nutrition, progressive strength training, and structured accountability. Her approach emphasizes building lean muscle, protecting metabolism, improving hormonal health, and creating sustainable habits that last.

She is passionate about educating clients on how the body works, how nutrition impacts performance and physique, and how to develop a healthy, empowered relationship with food. Her goal is not just transformation, but long-term lifestyle change.
